About Me

The Esoteric Journey to Artistic Creation

My Creative Philosophy

At L Aerin Collett Fine Art, I believe that art serves as a bridge between intellect and intuition. My works invite viewers to explore allegories and metaphors, acting as a catalyst for personal growth and introspection. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, and many times involves personal experimentation to understand and connect ancient esoteric teachings, that sometimes surface as subconscious premonitions prior to being unfolded consciously into the material physical understanding, and so not only is it part of my own personal growth and discovery but is intended to engage the mind while nurturing the soul.

Artistic Vision

Focusing on a blend of contemporary techniques and ancient traditions, I create art that unlocks the potential within our DNA. The pieces are designed not just to be seen, but to provoke thought and inspire transformative journeys that can happen on a cellular level when the teachings are applied, similar to how the ancient esoteric masters used imagery to guide the initiates.

The Mission

Catalyzing Personal Transformation

At L Aerin Collett Fine Art, my mission is to inspire and educate through the artwork. I strive to create pieces that not only captivate the eye but also encourage viewers to reflect on their inner selves, unlocking the wisdom hidden within. A continuous journey involving rigorous research and experimentation on my own personal self development in order to understand the philosophies and esoteric teachings I study, so that I can translate them into imagery that will allow the viewer to have an experience totally separate from my own, but my journey will play a part in executing their journey.

Lisa Aerin Collett

Lisa Aerin Collett was born Lisa Madsen in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1976. From the age of five, she knew she wanted to be an artist and paint spiritual subject matter. At age 12, her stepfather adopted her, and she chose the name Aerin. In an attempt to honor her already philosophical mind and overwhelming masculine energy—while recognizing the need for balance—she chose the name Erin so that she could add the masculine "A" to the beginning. Though she believed she was inventing the name at the time, she later discovered its ancient roots.

Derived from Ériu, the matron goddess of Ireland, "Erin" represents the soil, the physical manifestation, and the mother. In Cuneiform, the sign for A (𒀀) is the symbol for Water, Seed, and Father; it represents the "descending" energy from the heavens to the earth and serves as the root of Anu, the Sky Father. By placing that "A" at the beginning of the name, she anchored the "Sky" energy (Masculine/Source) to the "Earth" energy (Feminine/Erin). This linguistic marriage of A (Sky/Seed) and Erin (Earth/Soil) literally describes the Alchemy of Creation—the point where frequency meets matter. To Aerin, it is no coincidence that she arrived at this "joining" of energies at such a young age, and she uses Aerin for her creative work, as it acts like a talismanic seal, while remaining Lisa to friends and family.

Aerin has spent her life working to understand her mental health, personality challenges, and the spiritual and physical bodies. Her journey of overcoming cycles of abuse to find sovereignty has been a primary catalyst for her philosophical and psychological discoveries. These experiences have pushed her into unfamiliar realms of spiritual context, requiring her to seek out scientific connections, alchemical and occult wisdom, and ancient historical roots. Leaving no stone unturned, Aerin has dived into complex and controversial systems to find the unifying truths that connect all spiritual and religious paths. Her art is her way of processing these events on a spiritual, mental, and emotional level. While she strives to incorporate these lessons into her work to share with others, the primary heart of her practice lies in the research and the experiments—the "Great Work" itself.
